Enterprises, Inc. Leadership Team
David C. Wims. Esq. (President) was born in Winston-Salem,
N.C. and has strong ties to Ohio and education. Mr. Wims holds a
B.A., Psychology, from Ohio University; M.A., Psychology from
Cleveland State University; and a J.D. from Cleveland State
University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Mr. Wims is a New
York City practicing attorney. He has litigated in state and federal
courts and acted as counsel to several Fortune 500 corporations.
David is the third generation of a family of Ohio educators. His
father, Dr. Lu Wims, is a former Athletic Director and Men’s
Basketball Coach at Central State University (OH) and Principal of
Warrensville Heights Middle School (OH). His mother is a career English
teacher and Guidance counselor in middle and high schools in North
Carolina and Ohio. Mr. Wims’ aunt and grandmother are also former
Ohio public school teachers. Mr. Wims’ passion for excellence in
education and legal expertise ensure WEI delivers high quality
services. He is also a staunch advocate for equal opportunity.
Charlie Yawn (Vice-President) has been an educator for his
entire career teaching math, social studies, and art in grades 4
through 9. He has taught in the Dayton and Cleveland school systems
and worked for Cuyahoga Community College’s Educational Talent
Search Program where his primary responsibilities were tutoring
students in grades 6-12 and providing college counseling for high
school students. He has been instrumental in building WEI’s
reputation of delivering high quality tutoring services first with
disabled veterans for the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and
now with students taking advantage of Supplemental Educational
Services with NCLB. Charlie oversees the selection and use of
educational materials, manages tutors and tutoring sites, and serves
as the liaison between WEI and the parents and school districts it
serves. Mr. Yawn received his Bachelor Degree in History from Ohio
University.
Henry L. Jones, Jr. has over 10 years of sales and financial
services experience in the banking and retail industries. He also
has over six years in systems management and design focusing on
education and training, web design, and hardware and software
trouble shooting with ESI-ITT Technical Institute in Cleveland,
Ohio. A native Ohioan and graduate of the Shaker Hts., Ohio Public
Schools, “Hank” received his BS in Systems Management from Ohio
University and MS in Computer Information Systems with the
University of Phoenix. He is Comptia A+, Network+ Certified, a
Microsoft Certified Partner, and a Certified Internet Webmaster. Mr.
Jones credits his commitment to education to his mother, a retired
Cleveland Public Schools teacher.
Stephanie Wood rounds out WEI’s Leadership Team with over 25
years of progressive experience in the public and private sectors.
After graduating from Glenville HS in Cleveland, Stephanie received
her Bachelor Degree in Music with a minor in Education from Kent
State University and served as a Music teacher in the Cleveland
Public Schools for five years before transitioning to business. She
held a variety of management positions with the Gillette Company
including Manager, Sales Training before returning to Cleveland.
Stephanie brings to WEI expertise in leadership and management
development, strategic planning, diversity awareness, and customer
service. Ms. Wood owns a training and development firm in N.E. Ohio
and is the author of Shift Happens: Bridging the Gap Between
Awful and Awesome Customer Service.
